Quality Assurance & Control

Quality assurance and control are extremely important in the execution of projects, to ensure that the services provided by ESPL are of the highest standard and conform to all contractual and regulatory requirements. They are applicable to project & engineering management, design, engineering, drafting, as well as procurement and construction support activities.

IMS Manual, developed specifically for use on ESPL engineering projects, is regularly reviewed and updated to reflect the most recent developments in the organization. Consistent and uniform control of all requirements is maintained at all times.

The IMS Manual contains procedures to ensure that ESPL personnel are able to:

  • Recognize all requirements related to quality
  • Maintain a consistent and uniform control of these requirements
  • Establish effective control
  • Properly handle non-conformance to the requirements
  • Use quality checklists

At the beginning of each project, the project manager develops an Project Quality Plan, which entails all the applicable procedures and standards, and conforms to client’s quality standards.

All documentation and data are subject to review by authorized personnel, to ensure compliance with requirements of the IMS Manual, prior to their approval and issue. Such documentation includes but is not limited to Quality System Procedures, Work Instructions, Engineering Quality Plans, Project Procedures, Specifications, Material Requisitions, Drawings and Data Sheets.

Any changes to documents are reviewed and approved in the same manner as for new documents, wherever possible by the same personnel responsible for the original review and approval. Such changes are identified either on the concerned document or on appropriate attachments.

For internal audits, master schedule for IMS audits is prepared and on the basis of master schedule, monthly schedule is distributed.

Audits are conducted at Discipline as well as at Project level. Confirmation of project requirements besides compliance with company’s “Integrated Management System” is verified during the audits.
